Aerial Work Platform Operator Supervisor in Portland, OR | Local 488

Department Heads, Keys, and Bests participate in the Day 1 Classroom Theory session and are provided the training necessary to receive a Equipment Supervision Certification to oversee equipment operation. This will put them in line with new guidelines from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) which advise that “all personnel who directly supervise MEWP operators must receive training and have an acceptable level of knowledge regarding:

  • Regulations and standards that govern the safe use and operation of equipment

  • Identifying and choosing the right type of Aerial or Forklift for the job at hand

  • Location and use of the equipment operation manual

  • Recognizing and lessening potential hazards

  • Training of occupants

  • The use of the information, data and logs in the Operator Flight Manual
