This four-day (30 hours) course aimed at team leaders offers OSHA 30 training geared toward entertainment electricians. Elective and optional time focuses on electrical skills, applicable codes and standards, and system planning. This course offers an excellent review for current and prospective ETCP certified technicians. Successful participants will be eligible for an OSHA 30 card in General Industry.

Day 1 - 7.5 Contact Hours

  • Intro to OSHA - 1 Hour

  • Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans, and Fire Protections - 2.5 hours

  • Managing Safety and Health - 2 hours

  • Safety and Health Programs - 1 Hours

  • Introduction to Industrial Hygiene - 1 Hour

Day 2 - 7.5 Contact Hours

  • Hazard Communication - 1 Hour

  • Personal Protective Equipment - 1 Hour

  • Machine Guarding - 1 Hour

  • Welding, cutting, and Brazing - 1 Hour

  • Powered Industrial Vehicles - 1 Hour

  • Materials Handling - 2 Hours

  • Walking Working Surfaces, Basic Fall Protection - .5 Hour

Day 3 - 7.5 Contact Hours

  • Walking Working Surfaces, Basic Fall Protection - .5 Hour

  • Fall Protection - 2 Hours

  • Electrical Basic OSHA Safety - 2 Hours

  • Lockout/tagout - 2 Hours

  • Permit Required Confined Spaces - 1 Hour

Day 4 - 7.5 Contact Hours

  • Overhead Lifting Safety - 1.5 Hours

  • NEC Codes for Entertainment Electrician - 2 Hours

  • Grounding and Bonding - 1 Hour

  • Cabling and Connections - 1 Hour

  • Generators and Transformers - 1 Hours
