This two-day course covers installation, theory, testing, and best practices to help maintain current fiber infrastructure and new installs. Students will learn multi-mode fiber, single-mode fiber, simplex/duplex construction, layers of cables, multi-fiber cables, connectors and connector installation, OLTS and OTDR testing, fusion splicing maintenance and use, components of a link, connector end face analysis, and how to splice fiber and fiber connectors.
