The Instructor will teach the 5-Step approach to Safely Operating Powered Industrial Trucks.

• Step 1 – Worksite Inspection – Is the workplace safe and what are the hazards?
• Step 2 – Walk Around Inspection – Is the equipment safe visually?
• Step 3 – Function Check – Is the equipment safe functionally?
• Step 4 – Proper Operation – Am I operating Safely?
• Step 5 – Proper Shutdown – Is this a safe and secure location to park the equipment?
