This eight-hour welding course will cover welding processes, safety precautions, and safe practices for (oxy-fuel, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW). It will include two hours of classroom instruction followed by demonstration and hands-on, supervised hands-on practice. Equipment and tool options at the South Shore Voc. Tech metalworking shop are extensive.
Specifics include:
- Proper cleaning/prepping of metals and set up
- Shearing/punching with iron worker and band saw
- Cutting with Torch & Plasma Cutter
- Proper storage
