Mitch’s career journey began in 1988 when he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served diligently from E1 to E5 and later was commissioned as an officer, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Commander before retiring on December 1st, 2012. During his time in the Navy, Mitch specialized as a Naval aircrewman, rescue swimmer, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, Aeronautical Maintenance Duty Officer, and Professional Aviation Maintenance Officer.
Following retirement from the Navy, Mitch transitioned to the private sector and worked at GES Global Experience Specialists from 2013 to 2020, where he held various roles including Operation’s Manager, Forklift Trainer, and Safety Committee member.
Since 2020, Mitch has served as the Director of Training for IATSE Local 835, where he has been instrumental in developing and delivering high-quality training programs for our members. Mitch is also a Sunbelt Forklift & MEWP Instructor and an OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer.
