MIG Welding
Intro to MIG Welding is designed to give participants safety, technical information, hands-on experience, and practical application of MIG welding in the entertainment industry. This course provides participants with safety information, welding tools, basic technical information, setup and preparation of materials, and hands-on experience. Participants will learn how to setup and prep pieces to be welded, squaring up materials, how to lay a proper bead, control heat to join different gauge metals, fix and fill holes, and finish work.

Melissa has 23 years of welding experience ranging from lightweight to industrial welding. She ran the welding department for Burning Man, managed welding shops, has been the head of welding for many major projects in the entertainment industry, she works in construction and SPFX, and is an Arc Welding Instructor for the New Orleans Airlift.
