Manual Script Breakdown for Costume
This course is a hands-on, paper and pencil course. It is based on script understanding from the point of view of a Costume Department defining the needs of each character.
The instructor goes through the supplied script and shows how to mark up the script in a consistent fashion to pull the needed information together in an easy method.
Once the script is marked up, a set of costume plot sheets are generated by hand in a classroom situation with questions and answers from students and teacher as we progress.
This course is designed to give a solid basis in looking for script affects for a department and making a document that is easily referenced as shooting progresses. Understanding this method can then be applied to computer programs such as Sync on Set.
