ETCP Paper & Pencil Exam in Conjunction with USITT Jay Glerum Masterclasses

The Entertainment Technician Certification Program (ETCP) is pleased to announce that ETCP Paper and Pencil rigging examinations will be offered in conjunction with the Jay O. Glerum Rigging Masterclasses in San Diego, CA on the morning of April 3, 2019.

The examinations are open, and any qualified rigger over 21 years of age is invited to apply to sit for them. Applicants should fill out the “Pre-Arranged Paper and Pencil Exam Application Form” at http://etcp.esta.org/riggerapplicationmaterials. All completed applications should be submitted to the ETCP office by Monday, March 11, 2019.

Interested in attending? The Jay O. Glerum Masterclasses now have three tracks of learning: advanced, intermediate, and entry level. Held at San Diego State University’s Done Powell Theatre, the Entry-Level courses will take place from March 30-31, and the Intermediate Level will be taught on April 1 & 2. The ETCP Council members are key leaders drawn from entertainment business, labor, facilities, associations, and academia representing the diversity of the entertainment industry. Membership includes ESTA, AMPTP, Cirque du Soleil, CITT, Disney Theatrical Productions, IAVM, IATSE, InfoComm, The Broadway League, Live Nation, NBC Universal, PRG, PSAV, TEA, and USITT. ETCP is an ESTA initiative created to promote industry safety.
