OSHA Online Course Reimbursement
We now offer reimbursement to individuals for OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health and Construction Safety and Health online trainings! This pilot program reimburses IATSE workers who do not have access to a live OSHA 10/GES or OSHA 10 course. We are expanding this program while no live courses being offered.
You must obtain a 10-hour General Industry or Construction OSHA card from the approved OSHA-Authorized Online Outreach Training Providers listed on OSHA’s website. OSHA encourages interested students to research multiple vendors on the provided list to determine which program best suits their training needs. Only online trainings from these OSHA-authorized organizations are reimbursable.
Course Reimbursement Distance Learning Pilot Program
The TTF is working on a pilot that will allow for courses approved for support through the Course Reimbursement program to be offered via a distance learning platform. This means teachers would not need to travel and students can participate in the approved course remotely. Keep in mind this will only work for courses without a hands on portion and where instructors are able to adapt their courses to this medium.
We are doing everything we can so locals are still able to offer courses to members in the safest possible way under the current circumstances. As soon as we have this in place, we will make the details available and be in touch with locals that have approved Course Reimbursement applications.
Train the Trainer: Teaching & Presentation Techniques
We are also working on a pilot that will allow us to offer Train the Trainer: Teaching Techniques in a distance learning format that will allow learners to participate remotely and not have to travel to a location to take the course. We will post more information as soon as we are able to set up our platform, schedule, and launch a pilot session.
