Entertainment Electrics is a three-day course designed to strengthen skills and knowledge related to portable power distribution and control systems for live event production. It covers most of the topics in the content outline of the Entertainment Electrician’s certification exam and the Portable Power Distribution Technician’s certification exam.
Attendees of this course will have a better understanding of electrical safety, PPE, circuits, power calculations, codes and regulations, and best practices for grounding and bonding, the use of GFCIs, and more. They will also have a better understanding of control systems technology including DMX, RDM, Ethernet, Ethernet based protocols like sACN and Art-Net, and wireless DMX.
