This course is in set lighting particularly geared toward Grips and their work in diffusing, shaping, and coloring the light from the instruments. In this course participants will learn varied techniques of flag use and setting. The difference in diffusion, wrap factor, color shift, density difference. Types of different lighting instruments and complications specifics of their manipulation.

  • Different lighting instrument types, and how to shape and diffuse each type. (demonstrations)

  • Diffusions, and their particular qualities, Wrap-factor, Color Shift, Stop Loss (demonstrations)

  • Flag use and handling (demonstrations)
