The basic rigging course is a 1-day course designed to teach workers basic theatre and arena rigging and safety principles. Topics covered include understanding terminology, safety practices, what the gear is and proper use, and rigging fundamentals for Theatre and Arena Rigging.
Discuss liability of rigging; discuss rigging mistakes made by others in the past, how a
simple miscalculation can end in catastrophic failure (the weakest link)
Understand terminology, basic practices, and principles of stage rigging
Identification of rigging gear/proper use
Rigging power distribution
