The purpose of this class is to recertify our members for the safe use of forklifts. This class consists of an overview and update of current standards followed by a written exam and a practical operation skill test to confirm that our members are current with the OSHA forklift safety standards in operations.
Worksite Inspection – Is the workplace safe and what are the hazards?
Walk Around Inspection – Is the equipment safe visually?
Function Check – Is the equipment safe functionally?
Proper Operation – Am I operating Safely?
Proper Shutdown – Is this a safe and secure location to park the equipment?
