This four-day, 4½ hour per day, intensive workshop is for individual trainers who actively teach craft skills or safety classes for their local and are developing those classes for their local. The new and improved course combines important elements of the TTT: Teaching Techniques course with an updated Course Development workshop. It includes review and practical application of the topics covered in the Train the Trainer: Teaching and Presentation Techniques course; approaches to training-specific content including active learning and critical thinking techniques for in-person and online delivery; online facilitation techniques; selecting materials that connect the learner to content in a meaningful way; and hands-on practice designing outlines and lesson plans.

Esther Ramirios-Mathews is a learning strategist that partners with organizations to cultivate a learning and professional development culture. Over the past 18 years, she has specialized in instructional program design with various labor management programs throughout the country. She currently coaches subject matter experts on developing outcome-oriented learning programs. Ms. Ramirios holds master’s degrees in Organizational Management and in Education with a specialization in Adult Learning & Curriculum Development.
Diana Maciel is a facilitator, trainer, and instructional designer committed to delivering engaging, authentic, and inclusive training experiences. She has provided leadership, organizational development, and employment skills training in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors for 15 years. She holds a master’s degree in international relations, a training certificate from the Association for Talent Development, and has completed over 500 hours of professional development in the areas of adult learning principles, instructional design, leadership, and project management.
