The course will provide technical and basic knowledge about what it takes to be in the grip dept. for a live event production. This will be hands-on and include handouts that will be helpful in being successful. Upon completing this course, participants should feel comfortable completing basic grip work such as erecting and securing platforms, scaffolding, rigging, handrails, and lifts for lighting in a safe manner.
