This course provides an introduction to process, familiarization with software and hardware, and an opportunity to practice with direct peer mentoring in the employer requested area of streaming. The objective of this class is to develop essential technical skills needed to employ individuals in trade show and convention work. This one-day course will introduce several applications commonly used in the industry such as LogMeIn, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, OBS followed by review and practice on a sample show flow in order to learn the skills for the Virtual Meeting Room Board Operator.
Operating applications necessary to the production of the conference
Communicating quickly and effectively with conference staff
Communicating with speakers
Transitioning between multiple input streams
Monitoring audio quality
Monitoring output stream for quality control responding quickly and professionally to any issues that may arise in the production
