Electricity and portable power distribution can potentially be hazardous if it is not used judiciously. Understanding electric circuits, grounding and bonding, and certain practices like the use of GFCIs, proper insulation, and guarding is the key to protecting against the hazards of electrical power distribution. This class covers the safe use of portable power for audio, video, and lighting from basic circuits to best practices for providing clean power, how to track down noises, hums, and buzzes, and how safely revolve issues that can interfere with a live or online presentation.
