This is a second level MIG class that follows the Intro to MIG Welding class. This will allow participants to continue their learning process by reviewing the safety and technical information given in the intro class, learning new welding positions not presented in the first class, practicing with different gauges of metal and assorted joints. Instruction will also be given on cutting material with Chop Saw and Band Saws. Participants will learn the difference in techniques needed to welding between differing gauges of metal, how to set up and ensure squareness for odd joints, how to properly and safely use Metal Chop Saw and Band saws, and how to correct any issues they come across in these new processes. Students will complete a welding project of their choice using the different techniques discussed.
