This course covers basic entertainment rigging topics drawing from ETCP outline established industry practices. Participants will learn fundamental rigging principles and practices for safe implementation of basic rigging systems used in entertainment production. This course is for those who work with equipment that is lifted, lowered, and /or suspended from structure.

• Risk management and basic rigging plan

• Codes and standards

• Basic fall protection and lift usage

• Rigging principles (forces, factor of safety, efficiency, D/d ratio, plasticity)

• Materials and application of hardware, truss, and hoists

• Marking the point
