The course covers grounding and bonding purposes, practices, and the details of how to properly ground and bond electrical systems in order to comply with local and national codes. Participants will learn the reasons behind grounding and bonding., how to achieve proper grounding and bonding, how to test for proper grounding and bonding, and how to avoid improper grounding and bonding. This course helps electricians and technicians in the lighting, audio, and video departments protect against unsafe practices related to ground loops, lighting and voltage surges, and stray voltages that can endanger the lives and health of personnel.
