This training focuses on advanced, Genie-specific equipment operation and rigging for experienced operators and lighting techs. Rigging grips use MEWPs for rigging light and camera equipment all the time. If they do not use proper equipment and know manufacturer’s wind and load calculations, it can be hazardous to all on set. Participants will learn how to safely use Genie’s 21 models of MEWPs for rigging camera and lighting equipment.

• What specific Genie MEWP models are approved for material lifting applications only

• How to use Genie’s maximum load rating chart for material lifting applications only

• Hazards associated with using light diffusion frames and large surface area platform attachments

• Load calculation and lighting equipment weights and measures
