This course will instruct proper techniques with the newest, specialized, telescoping crane, the “MovieBird” . The MovieBird Crane is designed and built to offer limitless creative possibilities, to reach the most inaccessible places, to maneuver in the tightest of corners, telescoping in and out silently for that shot at a moment’s notice. This 30 foot crane is highly sought after and requires specific instruction in order to operate it safely and effectively. This course will teach set up and take down, proper loading and transporting methods, basic and specialized functioning and operation.
Set-up/take down and proper transportation; pre and post use checks
Safety precautions and protocols indoors and in adverse weather/wind conditions; stabilizing, environment hazards, routine checks and maintenance
Functioning including operation of the pickle and bucket
Swinging up, swinging down
Setting up and use on tracks; use of pneumatic tires
Mounting cameras/heads
On-location troubleshooting
