The need and demand for DMX lighting control is increasing. This training session is designed to provide lighting technicians with an in-depth look at DMX and wireless DMX, focusing on the theory and best practices of how to set up and run today's modern film sets.
More and more Directors of Photography are interested in controlling lighting using DMX and wireless DMX. As electricians, knowledge in this arena is imperative. Unfortunately, DMX has been somewhat underutilized in Film/TV, and thus, fewer Best Boys and Electricians are knowledgeable about all it has to offer. Digital Multiplex (DMX512) was introduced over 20 years ago and quickly became the entertainment industry’s standard for lighting control. As the setup for theatrical and film productions becomes more complex, the industry increasingly looks to cut down on clutter with solutions like DMX and wireless DMX.
