Setting up and testing a lighting control system used to be pretty simple, and it’s increasingly becoming more digital and networked. If you need your system to be stable and reliable, then you need to know how to set up, test, and troubleshoot Ethernet and Ethernet-based protocols, use RDM to quickly and remotely configure and monitor your equipment. A working Ethernet network is a basic requirement for today’s medium and larger lighting systems, and there are many pitfalls on the way to setting it up and making sure it is functioning properly. This course covers all of those bases from bottom to top with an emphasis in hands-on activities and learning.
