This is a one-day course is designed to provide members basic knowledge on how to setup a private IP network. These networks are used to control audio mixers, lighting consoles, and video switchers. These networks are now also being used more for transmission of audio and video signals within productions systems. The course begins by defining a network and moves on with the description of the types of networking cables and devices they will encounter. It moves on to the setup and configuration of those devices so they will communicate with each other. Finally the attendees will learn how to setup a wireless router and connect devices to it as they will with consoles and mixers.
