This course will cover safe operating procedures for all types of aerial work platforms. The course consists of three key areas of learning and proficiency demonstration. The three areas are responsibility, safety, and hands‐on operations. Training shall consist of a combination of formal classroom instruction and practical hands‐on training. This course will assist the operator’s employer in fulfilling the requirements set forth by the ANSI/SIA A92.2, A92.3, A92.5, and A92.6 standards and OSHA regulations. Participants who complete both the formal and practical sections successfully will receive a certification card.
Identify all types of aerial work platforms and recognize their differences.
Perform a pre‐start or walk around inspection.
Demonstrate a function or control test and inspection.
Identify work site hazards as part of a work site hazard assessment.
Observe all operator regulations and responsibility during proper operation.
Ensure unit is safe, secure and stowed for shutdown.
