Dressing the Broadway Tour in Washington, DC | Local 772


This five-hour class is intended for those who already have backstage crew experience, but wish to prepare themselves to take calls as a dresser and be an effective member of the wardrobe team. It is an overview of the Broadway tour from load-in to load-out. The class includes concrete examples of what to expect as the Tour Heads guide you to organize dressing rooms, prep costumes for performance, learn your dresser track, work closely with actors, and manage laundry schedules. It will also include practical hands on training in steaming, ironing, and quick changes. (This course does not include instruction on sewing or repairs.)
