Scaling Video Distribution Over Ethernet Networks

The use of standard network protocols allows almost any standard networking equipment to be used as an AV distribution system. There’s a limit to the scalability of high bandwidth multicast media networks due to the pitfalls of networking complex media devices.

This webinar discusses the root causes of these issues and common mitigation strategies to meet these challenges within the existing network standards by properly considering and applying the appropriate technologies.

  • Understand the limitations of scaling high bandwidth video distribution for common topologies and techniques

  • Understand which network typologies and techniques are appropriate to apply based on the scope of the installation

  • Understand the requirements for session management on the AV control plane to mitigate network congestion possibilities
