OSHA 10/General Entertainment Safety in Ft. Lauderdale, FL

This two day training covers OSHA policies, procedures, and standards, as well as general industry safety and health principles. Topics include scope and application of the OSHA general industry standards as related to the Entertainment Industry. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide.

DATES: September 22-23, 2018

TIME: 8AM - 4PM each day

INSTRUCTORS:

Alan M. Rowe is the Chairman of the IATSE Crafts Advancement Program as well as the President and Safety & Training Director for IATSE Local 728, Studio Lighting Technicians in Burbank, CA. Alan serves as the Co-Chair for the ETCP Entertainment Electrical Certifications, sits on the ESTA Technical Standards Council, is a member of the Motion Picture/Television Industry Wide Safety Committee, and represents the IATSE on Code Making Panel 15 of the National Electrical Code. Alan holds degrees from the North Carolina School of the Arts (BFA) and the California Institute of the Arts (MFA).

Eddie Raymond recently retired from being the Safety & Training Director of IATSE Local 16. Eddie is the immediate past president of ESTA, sits on the IATSE Crafts Advancement Program committee, is a member of the ETCP Council, and was a Subject Matter Expert for the ETCP Entertainment Rigging Exams. Eddie has acted as ACT's Scene Shop Foreman/Technical Supervisor and, among other activities, as Construction Coordinator at Industrial Light and Magic.

COST: The two day workshop itself is free of charge for participants. The IATSE Training Trust Fund cannot, however, cover the costs for travel, lodging, meals, or per diems associated with travel or participation in this workshop.
