This is a one day 6-8 hour course designed to provide attendees with basic knowledge of how audio systems are setup and how they operate. The course begins with a discussion of how sound waves are created and then converted to electrical signals. It proceeds to discuss how those signals are transported between devices, processed, mixed, and then distributed to amplifiers and speakers. This course is primarily lecture with a lot of demonstrations. Attendees are given some offline software and shown how to use it at home to continue their study. The course is usually limited to 30 participants.
