This course is designed to provide technical knowledge for students new to the entertainment industry who wish to become professionals in theater rigging. This course examines theater rigging through class study and hands on training with a focus on in-depth explanations and hands-on demonstrations of a counterweight system, floor layout, basket and bridle construction, tie in, and safe operation.
The purpose of this course is to provide essential instruction for becoming a qualified theater rigger. At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to layout floor, mark and demonstrate basket, bridle construction tie in, and safe counterweight operation.
