The goal of the class is to produce certified operators. Participants will be provided with best practice and safe handling of these machines with OSHA and ANSI standards. We will do this by class lecture, visual presentation, and assessment. Then there will be a lab portion. This will be done on the actual machines being certified for and will allow students to show that they understand basic functions, and safety features of the machine. There will also be time for any student to use the machine in a controlled setting until they become familiar if they so choose. Provide basic knowledge and skills to go out get the machine time required to become a competent operator:
- Equipment Operation
- Pre-start inspection
- Types of equipment
- Worksite hazards assessment
