Electrics 101 - Basic Electrics Skills for the Entertainment Technician is an 8-hour course designed to introduce basic skills and practices involved in setting up, operating, and breaking down of electrical and lighting systems in the entertainment industry. This shall include, but is not limited to, safety, basic electrical theory, reading and understanding paperwork, lighting instruments (types, functions, uses, maintenance, installation, color, accessories), basic power distribution, control systems, atmospherics and FX.
