Terry’s Journey began in 1988 with Freeman Decorating in Chicago, Illinois where he honed his skills and expertise in the event decorating industry. Over the years, Terry has expanded his knowledge and insight in the field while working across the country; including Chicago, Orlando, and Las Vegas.
In 2007, Terry became a proud member of the union and has since been actively involved. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Training at IATSE Local 835, Terry plays a crucial role in shaping the future of event decorating professionals and is the driving force behind numerous new and enhanced training programs. His commitment to excellence and passion for training are evident in his work every day.
Impartiality, compassion, and being a team leader gave Terry the opportunity to serve as Trustee for his local as well as multiple union committees including the Referral Hall and newly formed Safety Committee. Outside of Local 835, Terry serves as a delegate to the AFL-CIO and was immediately accepted as a member of the COPE committee.
One of Terry’s notable achievements is his OSHA Outreach Trainer status. This underscores his dedication to safety and ensuring that industry standards are met at all times.
