This course will take participants through the research methods, character-based design structure, and product choices, along with application techniques involved in determining how a period character's look will be executed. Participants create and apply a bespoke period look on a fellow participant they team up with in class.

Noel Hernandez, IATSE Local 798

Noel Hernandez is an Emmy nominated IATSE Local 798 Make-up Artist. She has worked for nearly 11 years as a union makeup artist and has over 20 years of makeup experience. In July 2020, she was asked to join the Local 798 Union Education Committee having had eight years’ experience as a national makeup and skincare trainer prior to entering into the union. In 2015, she was nominated for outstanding makeup in a limited series for her work on the HBO period production of "Bessie" and went off to work in 11 more period productions.
