Basic AV Setup

Through lecture, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, participants will learn to examine best practices and techniques for multiple AV calls including corporate convention-style general sessions and break-out rooms. Participants will develop and learn the non-hardware skills needed for success including safety, timelines, production schedules, proper attire, client interactions, and interaction with other production team/event participant members.

Jim Posedenti & Roger Easter, IATSE Local 19

Location: Baltimore, MD

Jim Posedenti has been a member of IATSE Local 19 since 2003. For the past 15 years, Jim Posedenti has worked as a Local 19 AV technician and steward at the Baltimore Hilton. As a union technician, Jim has specialized in all aspects of AV for corporate events, trade shows, continuous education, seminars, and political events. Jim was also CTS certified.

Roger Easter has been a member of I.A.T.S.E. Local 19 since 2004. Roger is currently a member of Local 19 Executive Board. Roger is currently the Steward at the Hilton Hotel in Baltimore and has been since 2014. Roger is also the Assistant Steward at the CFG Bank Arena. Roger has been teaching and training people in the audio-visual field at the Hilton Baltimore for over 10 years. I would like to continue the education to our workforce in a classroom setting.
