Fall Arrest & Protection

This course provides training to workers working at heights on how to do the work safely and meet the obligations of the authorities having jurisdiction. Participants will be trained to be able to identify hazards in at-height workplaces and to determine how to avoid the hazards if possible.

They will be trained on the use of safety hardware required to do the work at-heights, be it in rigging, lifts, trusses, or scaffolding. Workers will have hands on experience of use of harnesses, lanyards, fall arrest gear, and other safety equipment. Workers will learn about the danger of suspension trauma, and how to avoid it. Workers will be placed in suspension, so they can feel the reason for the training they are undergoing. They will also work to do rescues of their co-workers, as part of a fall arrest and rescue plan.

This course is for riggers, steel climbers, lift operators, set builders and painters, special event and trade show crews, and all those who work at heights.
