From here, setting a foundation for a safer work environment and down the path to potentially learning many more knots. Brandon Sandburg has been working in the motion picture/television industry as an electrician and grip for about seven years. With two associate degrees, cinematography and screenwriting, along with certificates varying from Mental Health First Aid to OSHA 10. He started working professionally and in the rental houses straight after his first year of school. In the rental houses, he became very familiar with G&E equipment, while on set gaining invaluable experience and knowledge from his colleagues and peers. He is a proud member of IATSE Local 490 and chairs the Young Workers Committee at Local 490. He is very passionate about safety, education, and solidarity in the entertainment industry.
