Sound Utility

The sound utility technician runs the sound department behind the scenes without power or authority. This lecture-based course covers the skillsets required to be a sound utility and what is expected. From timecode and paperwork to managing supplies and covering team members, this course will cover what the sound department’s jack-of-all-trades needs to know.

By the end of this course, sound utilities will have an understanding of everything expected of a sound utility except wiring talent (that’s a different class). The sound utility is the glue that holds the department together and this course teaches what you need to know before running the sound department.
