The New York Production Locals, in partnership with the IATSE Training Trust Fund, will be conducting Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) and OSHA Regulation Training,taught by USA 829 Safety Business Representative Monona Rossol on February 28,  2015. Recognizing hazards and knowing the Federal, State, and Municipal regulations in place to insure your safety in the workplace is critical knowledge for all workers.  This training is especially important because it is fundamental in understanding basic safety on the set. There will be a certification test at the end of the class.
Note: This course is required if you wish to take advantage of the training in spray techniques being offered in March/April. Respirator fit testing will be offered as well. See below. 

When: February 28, 2015. 9:30 am-3:30 pm.  Doors open at 9:00 am.
Where: IATSE Local 52 Union Hall. 19-02 Steinway Street, Astoria, NY 11105. There is ample street parking and a subway station nearby.
 

Attendance is expected to be high. To reserve your spot, email Bev Miller and send a $50.00 deposit which will be returned on the day of class. If you reserve a spot and do not show up your money will be forfeit.
