This training covers the safe operation of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms. Participants will learn the five key areas of learning and proficiency, including terminology and applications, responsibility, safety, operation, and hands-on. Participants will also learn how to rely on the appropriate operator’s manual for the MEWP they will be operating.

• Differences between groups and types of equipment

• Responsibilities of the manufacturer, owner, user, and operator

• Locate and review operators’ manual

• Verify annual inspection date

• Evaluate tip-over, collision, and electrocution hazards

• Pre-operation inspection

• Performing function tests
