This course will teach the math skills necessary to pass the ETCP Arena Rigging Test. We will also discuss proper use of common arena rigging hardware, how to read stage plans, and safe working practices for arena riggers.
Participants will learn how the gear they use is rated as well as how and when it typically fails. They will learn how to calculate the forces at work on the venue and on the rigging when objects are successfully suspended in air. They will learn how to calculate the distribution of forces on trusses and on the structural members of the venue.
