The course is specifically designed for Grips to learn telehandler safety training including best practices for rigging “flyswatters.” Grips commonly are called upon to rig flyswatters on set and this course will teach them the best and safest practices to avoid injuries and equipment damage.
Along with an introduction to and experiential Telehandler training, the participants will learn how the OSHA Focus Four Hazards relate to Telehandler Operation and workplace safety. They will also learn the four telehandler specific hazards related to telehandler operation. There is a strong emphasis on workplace safety and the daily inspections an operator needs to perform. An added component of flyswatter rigging and the factors of wind speed will be examined.
